Open Your Mind, Watch Doctor Strange First Trailer

All Hail Sorcerer Supreme! MCU has a new sovereign character and today it’s time open your mind and enjoy first UK trailer for Doctor Strange. With Phase 3 about to kick off later this month with Captain America: Civil War and what better time to showcase the next MCU tentpole and the Universe’s newest hero…

He’s the brains of Baker Street, he tormented the dwarves in Middle Earth with his fire breath now Benedict Cumberbatch will amaze you with his magical skills! Something Strange is coming!

It’s been a secretive production with not much known about the plot of the film much like the our protagonist. From the info we did find Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. Hoping to regain his skills once again Strange looks to the unique mystic Healer known as the Ancient One to help him finding himself a master of the mystic arts. Thus bringing great responsibilities thanks to those great powers.

When it comes to Marvel (even DC) we assume its the premier league characters such as Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America they’ll make films for. Guardians Of The Galaxy where proof the lesser known can be successful on the big screen. Strange in comics maybe a character that’s popular just on the edge of premier league but now the film is coming and a solid cast this should hopefully move that character into the dizzy heights. We had the patriotic heroism of The Cap, the playboy cockiness in your face of Iron Man, the fun comedic elements of The Guardians and Ant-Man. Doctor Strange takes MCU in another direction hopefully one that will ease the stagnation some critics are saying is creeping into comic book movies.

Footage wise might be minimal but it’s effective to get us hooked on what we do see. The trailer plays on Strange’s mystical powers sometimes inception like though Tilda Swinton’s The Ancient One feels like it hones into Matrix territory. Her character looks as if she maybe the goodness of Strange, so will Mads Mikkelsen‘s unknown character be the one who tries to coax Strange back into the darkness of his powers? What ever the outcome we love what we’re seeing!

Doctor Strange is set for a 28th October UK release with USA 1 week later on 4th November.The film stars Chiwetel Ejiofor , Michael Stuhlbarg, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Scott Adkins, Amy Landecker, and Mads Mikkelsen.
