Old Flames Reignited In UK Trailer For She Is Love
Former lovers reconnect in Jamie Adams romantic indie drama She Is Love. Ahead of it’s World Premiere this week, Signature Entertainment release the UK Trailer. Love is tender, funny, beautiful, unfair, painful and reckless for Hayley Bennett and Sam Reilly.
Sometimes those unexpected ‘bumping into’ old partners are worth it. Other times they are awkward like in this film when Patricia (Bennett) heads to a hotel in Cornwall. A hotel just happens to be ran by the girlfriend of your ex-husband (Riley). Over time the pair start to reconnect revisiting the past opening potential new beginnings.
The humour shines on that awkwardness, plays on the nostalgia too. Leaves you asking that burning question, do we still have feeling for those old flames?
Synopsis | When Patricia (Haley Bennett) arrives at a country hotel in Cornwall, she encounters her ex husband Idris (Sam Riley) who manages the place with his girlfriend Louise (Marisa Abela, Industry). Things are immediately awkward and the former couple reconnect over a long, messy night where they revisit the past while remaining open to new beginnings.
SHE IS LOVE was shot with an improvisational style that Adams has deployed on previous films such as Black Mountain Poets and Love Spreads, partly through his performance-centred process – from an initial idea he and the actors develop a ‘scriptment’ and the story is shaped during shooting.
She Is Love also stars Marisa Abela, Rosa Robson, and Craig Russell. The film will be released in the UK and Ireland in Cinemas plus Digital platforms from 3rd February 2023. If you re in London this week you watch the World Premiere at BFI London Film Festival on 14th and 16th October.
