“Oh hi Denny!” The Disaster Artist UK Trailer For The Room Biopic Arrives!!!
Tommy Wiseau as you know is the Orson Welles of bad movies and The Room is essentially the worst movie ever made, this December it gets a proper movie. Finally, Warner Bros. has given The Disaster Artist a UK release date, the same day as The U.S. Now we have a UK trailer to get us into that ‘Sestosterone!’ mode and get your plastic spoons ready!
James Franco stars as Tommy himself with a black scraggly wig, bewildering accent but could the worst movie ever made actually win an Oscar? If we go by the early reviews including the movies world premiere at Toronto Film Festival earlier this month, it might just win!
For over ten years or more the cult movie has been playing to sold-out cinemas all around the world including the UK and Ireland. Tommy and some of the other actors also attend screenings and it’s amazing these actors have embraced the awfulness of their movie. Wiseau himself is apparently a big fan of the biopic, ‘I approve 99.9%‘. And we were like, ‘What was the 0.1%?‘ And he said, ‘I think the lighting, in the beginning, a little off’.” When asked by Franco.Franco looks to really capture Wiseau’s spirit in his lack of self-awareness and bad timing and this trailer shows off some iconic scenes too!…“You are tearing me apart, Lisa!”
“The Disaster Artist” is the true story of the making of the film “The Room,” which has been called “the Citizen Kane of bad movies.” Tommy Wiseau’s cult classic has been screening to sold-out audiences nationwide for more than a decade.The movie is based on the book by Greg Sestero and Tom Bissell.
The Disaster Artist is also directed by James Franco with the movie receiving the UK, Irish and US cinema release from 1st December.The movie stars Dave Franco and Seth Rogen. The ensemble also features Alison Brie, Zac Efron, Josh Hutcherson, Jacki Weaver, Ari Graynor, and Jason Mantzoukas.
