New Trailer For Netflix Horror Anime The Summer Hikaru Died

Netflix has took us a step closer to the long awaited release  of  the psychological horror anime The Summer Hikaru Died  with the main Trailer.

The last time we got a look at this series was with the teaser back in November 2024. Now we get a proper look at what we can expect and it’s eerie, unsettling stuff. A story that taps into a Invasion Of The Body Snatchers but from a supernatural perspective than sci-fi.

The Summer Hikaru Died is based on the popular  Mokumokuren which is set in rural Japan. Yoshiki (Chiaki Kobayashi) and Hikaru (Shuichiro Umeda) are long time friends, when Hikaru returns from a mountain walk he’s not the same according to his friend.

Two best friends living in a rural Japanese village: Yoshiki and Hikaru.
