In New The Meyerowitz Stories Trailer, Adam Sandler Proves He Can Act

Back in the Summer many movie critics got a shock restarted their Zantac when Adam Sandler decided to rejoin the human and prove he can act. That movie was The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) directed by Noah Baumbach and today Netflix has released a brand new second trailer to reveal Sandler can act!

You would think the amount of paid holidays Adam Sandler has taken over the years it was about time he returned the pain with something more serious but potentially funny. The Cannes Film Festival and this movie gave him the perfect platform, look at the buzz now. To some, it may be too late for ourselves we give him a chance despite been one of his biggest critics.

The first trailer gave us a look at the main protagonists family, this trailer hints at that family’s dysfunctionality. Noah Baumbach may not be everyone’s favourite filmmaker, however, he is loved in independent film and you love his distinctive style this one should go down well.

From writer/director Noah Baumbach, The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) is the emotional and comic intergenerational tale of adult siblings (Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, and Elizabeth Marvel) contending with the long shadow their strong-willed father (Dustin Hoffman) has cast over their lives.

The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) is based on an original screenplay by Baumbach, the film also stars Emma Thompson, Grace Van Patten, Adam Driver, Candice Bergen, Judd Hirsch, and Rebecca Miller.

Netflix will stream the movie from 13th October globally including the UK and Ireland. There will also be a limited cinema release too.

The film will make its UK premiere as the LAUGH GALA at this year’s London Film Festival [sadly all 3 screenings are sold out].
