New Masters Of The Universe Trailer Released
Amazon MGM Studios just dropped a brand-new official U.S trailer today for its highly anticipated live-action Masters of the Universe reboot, and it’s giving fans plenty to talk about ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
Directed by LAIKA’s Travis Knight, the film follows Prince Adam, hidden away on Earth as a child after being separated from his magical Power Sword. As he tracks it down nearly two decades later, he is swept back across the stars to defend his home planet of Eternia from the evil forces of Skeletor.
The star-studded cast is led by Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, with Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as the villainous Skeletor, and Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms. Alison Brie rounds out the strong ensemble as the cunning Evil-Lyn. The film also features Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, Kristen Wiig voicing Roboto, and Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, among many others. The script will be written by Chris Butler, Aaron Nee, and Adam Nee.
“A lot of the work that I’ve done, everything is about reality,” Brie teased USA Today about the release. In “Masters,” she adds, “the whole point is that everybody is larger than life − some people physically, this character more just in her evilness. It was so fun to work on, and the cast is great.”
Synopsis:
In Masters Of The Universe, after being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.
