With a little over week to go until the release of Warrior and Lionsgate UK have sent us  a brand new clip, when Brendan’s (Joel Edgerton) wife discovers he has been secretly competing in MMA events.

Starring BAFTA Award winner Tom Hardy, two-time Oscar nominee Nick Nolte and Joel Edgerton (Animal Kingdom), this action/drama set in the brutal, high-stakes world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) previews nationwide on 21st September.

Harry caught the movie last his review will be online at the weekend. The Fighter was certainly the testing film to see how sporting films go with the general public and so far things look good. As everyone in the world may not like sports, if you were to make a sports related film you have to make sure there is a blance of sports and drama to make it interesting for all, so thats why movies like Moneyball and Warriorlook interesting films!

An ex-Marine haunted by a tragic past, Tommy Riordan (Hardy) returns to his hometown of Pittsburgh and enlists his father (Nick Nolte), a recovered alcoholic and his former coach, to train him for an MMA tournament awarding the biggest purse in the history of the sport. As Tommy blazes a violent path towards the title prize, his brother, Brendan (Edgerton), a former MMA fighter unable to make ends meet as a public school teacher, returns to the amateur ring to provide for his family. Even though years have passed, recriminations and past betrayals keep Brendan bitterly estranged from both Tommy and his father.

But when Brendan’s unlikely rise as an underdog sets him on a collision course with Tommy, the two brothers must finally confront the forces that tore them apart, all the while waging the most intense, winner-takes-all battle of their lives.
