New Clip And Poster For Oscar Winning The Father

After all the talk of Oscars in a few weeks time the multi award winning The Father will arrive in the UK. Lionsgate Films have sent us over a new short clip from the film and a poster highlighting the films Awards feat.

The Father is based on the Florian Zeller‘s own play Le Père and stars Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman. Hopkins plays out titular character an elderly man who believes his mind is playing tricks. He’s an highly independent man who clearly need the help from his family. However his daughter (Colman) has plans to move to Paris with her husband , she gets him help when it’s clear it’s her he needs.

The clip is called ‘I Don’t Need Anyone‘ and sees Anne arguing with her father who seems to have told his helper to go…

In THE FATHER, Anthony Hopkins plays the eponymous role of a mischievous and highly independent man who, as he ages, refuses all assistance from his daughter Anne (Olivia Colman). Yet, such help has become essential following Anne’s decision to move to Paris with her partner. As Anne’s father tries to make sense of his changing circumstances, he begins to doubt his loved ones, his own mind and even the fabric of his reality.

The film also stars Mark Gatiss, Rufus Sewell, Imogen Poots, and Olivia Williams.

The Father will be released in UK and Irish Cinemas from 11th June.
