Netflix’s Godless New Trailer It’s A ‘No Man’s Land’, It’s A Womens

After returning behind the lens with Logan Lucky, Steven Soderbergh’s next gig is producing Netflix‘s upcoming Western Series, Godless. The Scott Frank directed limited series is set to launch next month and today we get a full-length Trailer.

After last weeks short 60-second trailer, today we get a better look at the upcoming Western series. A series that shows the wild west is certainly a ‘No Mans Land’ it’s a women’s land! As a ruthless band of outlaws hunt one of their own who betrays them. Finding shelter in a small town populated by women.

Whilst the images and short trailer teased the characters of the series, this full length lets us see more of the town. What happened to the men of the town, where did they go? Will they come back? The ladies of La Belle show that they have adapted to the climate of the dusty old frontier. We see that the relationship we the townsfolk and the antagonists of the series is not good.

Notorious criminal Frank Griffin (Jeff Daniels) and his gang of outlaws are on a mission of revenge against Roy Goode (Jack O’Connell), a son-like protégé who betrayed the brotherhood. While on the run, Roy seeks refuge with hardened widower Alice Fletcher (Michelle Dockery), an outcast herself, in a worn-down, isolated mining town of La Belle, NM — governed mainly by women. When word reaches La Belle that Griffin is headed their way, the town bands together to defend against the murderous gang in a lawless western frontier.

Godless stars Jack O’Connell, Michelle Dockery, and Jeff Daniels. The previously announced ensemble cast includes Merritt Wever (Nurse Jackie, The Walking Dead), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Game of Thrones, Love Actually), Jeremy Bobb (The Knick), Scoot McNairy (Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice), Sam Waterston (Law & Order) and Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy).

The original limited series Godless comes to Netflix 22nd November 2017.
