Netflix To Launch ‘Critical’ Doc On London Emergency Medics

Netflix have announced they are set to release new documentary series, Critical. A new docu-series based around the daily work lives of London’s emergency medics, the Doctors and Paramedic saving lives in the country’s capital and busiest city.
The series will be streamed on Netflix over six parts and the streaming service announce production has now started.
Filmed across London’s major trauma hospitals, ambulance service rapid response teams and heli-medic teams, the documentary series will be an access-all-areas look at this non-stop job, embedding with paramedics, doctors, nurses and surgeons.
Through these extraordinary clinicians, viewers will meet the patients and loved ones whose lives have been turned upside down in an instant, follow the critical decisions on which their lives depend, and witness the dedication and skill that brings them back from the brink of catastrophe – every single day.
Directing the series will be Jermain Blake who has an established Television career. Directing and producing for the likes of the BBC, Channel 4 with the production company The Garden, Blake is no stranger to medical themed documentaries with 24 Hours in A&E, while Emergency gave the viewer an insight into London’s medical trauma unit.
He was also a co-executive on Netflix‘s The Squid Game: The Challenge.
There is no exact release date for Critical, apart from it will launch exclusively on Netflix in 2025.
