Neil Blomkamp’s Demonic Gets A UK Trailer!

Six years after filmmaker Neil Blomkamp released Chappie, he returns behind the camera for Demonic. last week we gave you a glimpse at the film’s American Trailer, today it’s the turn of the UK Trailer, courtesy of Signature Entertainment.
The film follows a young woman who seems to be unable to unleash demons from a comatose serial killer. Also reopens a deep decades long rift between herself and her mother.
The blend of sci-fi a genre Blomkamp made his own with horror thrown in for good measure. There’s more that which has aย meets the eye when it comes to this one. Decade old rift that has a ย supernatural twist. Are they witches? Gods or even demons themselves? This is certainly a low budget project compared to his previous films, will it be the film gets him back on track?

Demonic is the first feature film from renowned genre director Neill Blomkamp since 2015โs Chappie. Acclaimed director and writer Blomkamp exploded onto the film world with District 9 in 2009, which was produced by Peter Jackson and nominated for four Academy Awardsโข including Best Picture. Between those two releases came 2013โs hit science fiction epic Elysium starring Matt Damon. Demonic is a supernatural possession horror which follows a young woman who unleashes a terrifying demon as she enters the mind of her comatose, serial killer mother.
The film also features stars Carly Popeย (Elysium),ย Chris William Martinย (The Vampire Diaries),ย Nathalie Bolttย (District 9) andย Michael J. Rogersย (Beyond the Black Rainbow).
Signature Entertainmentโsย Demonicย will be released in UK Cinemas and on Premium Digital fromย 27th August,ย one week after the USA.
