Mubi Set To Release Jafar Panahi’s It Was Just An Accident In UK
MUBI have announced they are set to release Jafar Panahi’s It Was Just An Accident in UK and Irish cinemas in December.
Panahi‘s twisted, darkly humorous revenge thriller made its World Premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Palme d’Or. There are always a few films that make a big impact at Cannes, and It Was Just An Accident was one of those films
The film stars Ebrahim Azizi (Me, Maryam, The Children And 26 Others, Killing The Eunuch Khan), Vahid Mobasheri (The Witness, No Bears), Mariam Afshari, Hadis Pakbaten, Majid Panahi and Mohamad Ale Elyasmehr. Joining them also are Georges Hashemzadeh, Delmaz Najafi, and Afssaneh Najmabadi.
Official Synopsis:
Vahid, an Azerbaijani auto mechanic, was once imprisoned by Iranian authorities. During his sentence, he was interrogated blindfolded. One day, a man named Eghbal enters his workshop. His prosthetic leg creaks, and Vahid thinks he recognizes one of his former torturers.

MUBI will release It was Just An Accident in the UK and Irish cinemas from 5th December.
