‘Mommy’ Is Coming Home In Evil Dead Rise Home Release

Mommy loves you to death and soon ‘Mommy’ will be coming ‘Home’ to let you know in Evil Dead Rise. Studiocanal have unearthed the UK and Irish Home premiere details for the latest instalment in the iconic horror franchise.

Lee Cronin‘s gorefest stars Lily Sullivan (I Met a Girl, Barkskins), Alyssa Sutherland (The Mist, Vikings), Morgan Davies (Strom Boy, The End), Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence) and introducing Nell Fisher (Northspur).

The terror moves from the woods into the city when estranged sisters (Sullivan and Sutherland) reunite. However things take a drastic turn when the ‘deadites‘ make a return when things become a nightmarish battle for survival.

We loved this! Whilst Cronin stamps his own authority on the film, he also inserts little homages to the original franchise. Raimi, Tappert and Mr Groovy himself Bruce Campbell are onboard as producers. Our reviews editor Scott J.Davies watch the film giving it 4 stars and saying “Cronin has done both with aplomb, creating another pulsating, unyielding horror film that’s as frenetic and clever as its historical siblings“.

Evil Dead Rise will be unleashed for Home Premiere on 5th June. The film will be available on digital download from 14th July, and available to buy on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD, including a limited special edition SteelBook, from 17th July.
