Meet Sparky In New Frankenweenie Featurette

This Wednesday Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie will kick off the 56th BFI London Film Festival with it’s European premier. After several disappointing films from Burton it now looks like he has found his mojo again with his stop animation adventure of one boy and his dog . This is no ordinary dog this is Sparky who belongs to Victor who has been brought Sparky  back to life after tragically losing him but when the news breaks of Sparky’s re-incarnation around the town leads to  sometimes monstrous, consequences.

Disney have shipped us over this sweet little featurette all about Sparky, we here from the man himself Tim Burton talking about his inspirations behind the little dog, we also hear from Allison Abate the film’s producer and Winona Ryder who plays the voice of elsa Van Helsing. We’re really stoked to see this one and one Wednesday we will be at the gala performance so stay tuned for our review!

Frankenweenie is the heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.

Frankenweenie  will be officially released in UK&Ireland 17th October, film stars the voice talents of Charlie Tahan, Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron, Conchata Ferrell and Martin Landau.
