Marvels Thunderbolts ‘Assemble’ In First Trailer

Florence Pugh Leads Marvel Merry band of antiheroes

Things are about to get messy next Spring when Marvel Studios release Thunderbolts. Today it’s the release of the first Trailer that tease ‘becareful who you assemble’!

If you ever wondered if and when Marvel would have their own version of The Suicide Squad, this is them. How criminally dangerous they maybe is another question, We have bad guys and we also have worse guys! The MCU has been going through a rough patch lately, Deadpool and Wolverine gave the MCU hope could this be the next one?

Meet our merry band of misfits starting with Florence Pugh who is once again Yelena Belova aka Black Widow. David Harbour as Russia’s Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Sebastian Stan as Bucky, Lewis Pullman as Bob aka Sentry, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster. The person binding them alltogether is Valentina Allegra de Fontaine played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

This bunch as a mix of supervillians or heroes might not exactly fit into the main core of the top heroes or villians. Yelena’s task is to get the group together in order to do covert missions for the government. Everyone has an ego and would gladly kill each other setting up the potential comedy tone. This trailer gives us a taster and not everything might be 100% what you think they are ment to be. Avengers replacements? Looks interesting!

“Careful who you assemble.” A world without Avengers doesn’t mean there’s not a group of superheroes. There is a group and they’re called the Thunderbolts. A group of supervillains from the MCU are recruited to go on missions for the government.

Marvel Studios Thunderbolts opens in UK and Irish cinemas on 2nd May, 2025.
