Francis Lawrence is quickly picking up cast members as quick as a Olympian at the London games when today Lionsgate have announced another cast member has officially joined. Sex And The City star Lynn Cohen has joined the increasing cast To Play Mags In The Hunger Games Catching Fire. The Broadway,actress who also starred in Law and Order, Munich, Eagle Eye will play Mags an 80 year old woman who was a winner of the games for District 4, she is also the mentor for Finnick Odair.
Finnick is one of the newest big roles in the highly anticipated sequel but constantly rumours are rife who may or not play the role or even clues to when the role maybe filled as we creep closer to the film’s filming. Sam Clafin (Snow White And The Huntsman) has been the latest name connected to play tribute Finnick, according to Deadline due to optioned owed to other studios could have prevented the young actor playing the part. The problem does seem to have been sorted, now its a matter of time when he’ll actually sign on. As for other parts Tony Shaloub is the latest name connected to play Beetee. Lynn Cohen will join fellow newcomers Phillip Seymour Hoffman (Plutarch Heavensbee) , Amanda Plummer (Wireless) and Jena Malone (Johanna Mason).

A former mentor to Finnick Odair, Mags is an eighty year old Hunger Games victor from District 4.
