Luc Besson’s Joan Of Arc Getting New 4K Restoration

Luc Besson‘s historical drama Joan Of Arc seems to be one of the forgotten movies based on the important French  heroine. Studiocanal haven’t forgotten and makes its 4K UHD worldwide debut on SteelBook and Digital this August.

Joan Of Arc stars Milla Jovovich as our titular France ultimate hero,  The rest of the cast  includes John Malkovich, Dustin Hoffman, and Faye Dunaway. This is the story of a young peasant  woman who after visions led her nation into war to defeat the English.

The releases comes with a brand new restoration and striking new artwork by the acclaimed artist Flore Maquin. The movie is another addition to Luc Besson films restored, the others are Leon, Subway, La Femme Nikita and The Big Blue.

SYNOPSIS | As the decades-long war between France and England continues to rage into the 15th century, a young Joan (Milla Jovovich) experiences a vision – apparently from God – encouraging her to rid France of the English. Years later she relays her vision to the French King in waiting, Charles VII (John Malkovich), who grants her an army. Joan secures massive victories until she is captured and tried for heresy.
