‘Live Or Die’ Play The Game And Watch Jigsaw First Trailer
It was a cult horror franchise kickstarted by modern horror overlord James Wan, Saw went onto help catapult the Australian filmmaker’s career (along with Insidious, The Conjuring). He may have left the directors chair after the first movie, 7 movies on it’s time to ‘play a game’ as Saw 8 is coming! Today straight from San Diego Comic Con the first UK Trailer for Jigsaw has arrived online and it’s time to play a game again. It maybe a sort of a reboot, but ain’t John Kramer aka The Jigsaw Killer dead? ‘Live Or Die’ it’s time to watch the trailer!
When a long running franchise of any genre decides to call it a day, it’s hard to believe it will be the end when the word ‘reboot’ is still fresh in the minds of those in power. Let’s be honest as more and more Saw movies were been made the critics, as well as fans, lost interest. So how do you make a dying franchise interesting again? Make the ‘games’ crazier, different build on the mythology and on the evidence of the first footage nostalgia will play a big part too.
We do love the fact the cops have no idea how Kramer has returned (or has he?), if not whose in control of his little creepy bike riding puppet Billy? That mystery of who is actually behind the madness really works for this movie and plays on the poster Slogan from yesterday ‘Become Jigsaw’. Could all those ‘players’ from the trailer also be Jigsaw too? We do hope there are some nice twists and gore been kept back for the movie too, as the trailer was lacking blood.
Jigsaw is set for a 27th October cinema release in the UK and Ireland. Starring Matt Passmore, Callum Keith Rennie, Clé Bennett, Hannah Emily Anderson, Laura Vandervoort, Mandela Van Peebles, Paul Braunstein, Brittany Allen, Josiah Black.
