For many of us lives to be more in the virtual world than in reality, finding ourselves immersed in those worlds not always for the best. I’m sure parents around the world who have children ones especially teen to young adult will be cursing the day the mobile phone or personal computers where created. They may do amazing things but most times it’s good to be human! Nerve may come across as a generic thriller by some but it’s nice to see a film that’s aimed at Young Adults not be set in fantasy/Dystopian future. If someone is sadistic enough this could could be a real possibility, like Saw without the masochistic extras.

Nerve follows industrious high school senior, Vee Delmonico (Emma Roberts), who has had it with living life on the sidelines. When pressured by friends to join the popular online game Nerve, Vee decides to sign up for just one dare in what seems like harmless fun. But as she finds herself caught up in the thrill of the adrenaline-fueled competition, the game begins to take a sinister turn with increasingly dangerous acts, leading her into a high stakes finale that will determine her entire future.

Would you go the distance? Do you have the nerve? Are you a “Watcher” or a “Player”?

Nerve also stars Juliette Lewis, Emily Meade, Samira Wiley, Miles Heizer, Kimiko Glenn, and Machine Gun Kelly.Get ready to play or watch the film in UK&Ireland 11th August.
