With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends โ including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson).Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
With the events leading up to the final film now established this film does look like their teasing that was lacking in Mockingjay Part 1 will make a welcome return. With Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) delivering an emotional speech stating โSnow has to pay for what heโs done,โ there will be one victor but who?I have to admit The Hunger Games franchise has actually turned out to be a good franchise and with hints of the return of the actual games from Finnick (Sam Claflin) “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 76th Hunger Games,” will excite fans of the games format.
The Hunger Games:Mockingjay Part 2 co-stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright,Julianne Moore, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci, and Willow Shields. The final games will begin 19th November (USA 20th).
