Ok hands up, that was a little naughty introduction to Jackman, who is simply the man all trades, whatever he tries 99% cinephiles and even critics have loved. Now he’s painfully taken off his adamantium claws of Logan when back to drinking Liquorice tea to smooth his dulcet vocal tones. From one of the greatest onscreen superheroes, he’s becoming the man who launched the greatest show on Earth, the first Circus P.T Barnum. We may joke about his singing but we mustn’t forget before he became Wolverine he was a Theatre actor, this movie will take us back to his musical roots.

Inspired by the ambition and imagination of P.T. Barnum, “The Greatest Showman” tells the story of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a mesmerising spectacle that became a worldwide sensation. “The Greatest Showman” is directed by exciting new filmmaker, Michael Gracey, with songs by Academy Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“La La Land”) and starring Academy Award nominee Hugh Jackman. Jackman is joined by Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams, Zendaya, Zac Efron and Rebecca Ferguson.

Whilst Logan may not be in the same light as this movie, expectation levels will be a lot higher as Hugh Jackman has proven he is an accomplished actor now. He is also one of the producers of the movie so the stakes will be high again. Fantastic cast supporting him, it’s big shoes to fill when you’re playing the man who created ‘show business’

The Greatest Showman will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas on 1st January 2018 (USA 25th December).
