Kids Will Be ‘Spooked’ In Trailer For R.L Stine’s Pumpkinhead!
We’re in the latter half of Halloween season, TUBI have got one for kids. If your an horror aficionado, you’ll be thinking R.L Stine’s Pumpkinhead was one for the grown ups. The streaming service have released the film’s official trailer and yes the kids will be ‘spooked’!
Let’s get things straight on a potential confusion, this is not the cult 1988 Stan Winston version which starred Lance Henrikson. This version is a lot tone wise is a lot more gentler for the targeted audience (young adult). Inspired by Stineโs beloved The Haunting Hour, the movie blends just the right mix of chills and thrills, promising a frightfully fun experience.
R.L Stine’s Pumpkinhead follows two brothers with their mum move to Redhaven. When one of the sons goes missing the other must stop the harvest curse before the brother is lost forever.
This looks to have the creepy feel and off course scarecrows, this is for the kids scares will be mild in nature. Tubi has only been available in the UK and Ireland since Summer 2024, a lot of Tubi Originals are slowly making their way onto the UK version. This looks and feels like a film that suited for the channel and it may not be perfect, this channel is still one of the best free options out there. For the adult horror fans check out their horror selection, especially now they sponsor FrightFest, you might be surprised what’s on offer.
This stars Bean Reid, Adeline Lo (Sorry For Your Cost), Kevin McNulty (Snakes on a Plane), Bob Frazer (Safe Haven), Matty Finochio (Love Hard, The Order) and Seth Isaac Johnson (My Old Ass).
Synopsis | Sam thought moving to Redhaven was the worst partโuntil his brother Finn vanishes and no one, not even their mom, remembers he existed. With Halloween ticking down, Sam, his friend Becka, and Rusty, the townโs most eccentric outcast, must stop a harvest curse before Finn is lost forever.
R.L Stine’s Pumpkinhead is available now exclusively now on Tubi in the UK and Ireland.
