Juliet Binoche ‘Fakes It’ In Who You Think I Am UK Trailer

Later this month Juliet Binoche will star in Hirokazu Koreeda’s The Truth. In May she’ll ‘fake it’ in Who You Think I Am. Today Curzon Artificial Eye Film have released the UK Trailer in a twisting psychological drama thriller.
‘Never judge a book by it’s cover’, looks the perfect saying to describe this one. What looks on the surface a romantic drama, looks like something darker even psychological.
Binoche stars as a fifty something divorcee who decides to create a social media profile. Becoming a 24 year old woman who becomes entangled with a ex-friend. After a relationship blossoms, a web of lies threaten to unravel things…
To spy on her younger ex-lover, divorcee Claire (Juliette Binoche) creates a fake profile on social media. Posing as a 24-year-old named Clara, Claire becomes entangled with her ex’s friend Alex who is instantly enamored. Riding a wave of self-discovery but confined to her avatar, Claire falls madly in love with Alex. Although everything is played out in the virtual world, the feelings that blossom become very real. As Clara and Alex’s virtual lives grow, Claire’s reality begins to hang by a thread as her web of lies starts to unravel.
Adapted from the eponymous novel by Camille Laurens, Who You Think I Am is a beguiling story where the lines between reality and fantasy become blurred in the challenges of dating in the digital age.
The film also stars Nicole Garcia, François Civil with Safy Nebbou directing.
Who You Think I Am will be in UK Cinemas & On Curzon Home Cinema from 8 May 2020.
