Jon Hamm In Tense Stand-Off In American Hostage Trailer
It’s going to be a life and death matter over at MGM+ next month when they release thriller series American Hostage. Today the streaming channel tease us with the official Trailer and Jon Hamm finds himself in a tense stand off.
This 1970’s psychological thriller is based on the true story we last saw in Gus Van Sant‘s Dead Man’s Wire. This version Giovanni Ribisi is our down on his luck turned hostage taker Tony Kiritsis ( Bill Skarsgård in film version). It looks like the difference is there’s more focus on Jon Hamm‘s character Fred Heckman (Colman Domingo in film version).Fred the beloved local Radio DJ who finds himself trown into a life or death situation all thanks to being Tony’s favourite DJ who want’s Fred to interview him.
This series is based on the podcast of the same name, like any true crime they all want to prove what really went down. Will this deliver the honest truth or just another fictionalised adaptation?
Additional cast includes Kristoffer Polaha as Dick Hall, Emmy Award nominees William Jackson Harper as Ben Hairston and Mireille Enos as Barbara Heckman, Jonathan Tucker as FBI Special Agent Cormac McNally and Kat Cunning as Ibby Hall.
