John Krasinski returns to direct and write A Quiet Place Part III

Deadline is reporting that John Krasinski is returning to write, produce and direct A Quiet Place Part III, with the actor himself confirming the news on his Instagram.

The noise-sensitive aliens with their unique design and amazing listening skills will be back on Earth in 2027, with the film marking the fourth film in the franchise. Krasinski and Allyson Seegerโ€™s Sunday Night Productions are producing with Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes once more.

The last entry was 2024’s A Quiet Place Day One, starring Oscar winner Lupita Nyongโ€™o (The Wild Robot) and Joseph Quinn (The Fantastic Four: First Steps) and directed by Pig‘s Michael Sarnoski, took $262M at the global box office. Krasinski directed the film two films, released in 2018 and 2021, with the original taking over $341million and its sequel maxing out at $297.3million, although the latter was released during the pandemic.

Krasinski starred in both films, alongside, wife Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds. No casting news for Part III yet, but you’d imagine the latter trio would return.
