JJ Abrams ‘God Particle’ Will Continue Cloverfield Universe

cloverfield

Earlier in 2016, JJ Abrams helped to surprise us all revealing the Dan Trachtenberg movie he was producing Valencia aka 10 Cloverfield Lane was, in fact, Cloverfield sequel. Well old JJ has done it again pulling the rug from under our feet announcing today ‘God Particle’ he’s producing will, in fact, be the second Cloverfield sequel.

The Wrap are reporting Julis Onah‘s mysterious project which is planned for a February 2017 release will be the third in the Cloverfield series. After 10 Cloverfield Lane  Abrams did say he like to expand the universe quietly with the help of Paramount Pictures, with possibly a new movie every year and beyond. The next instalment “connected to Cloverfield”, with each movie after that with a connection to the original movie, with that connection been the aliens.

We don’t actually the exact plot apart from the movie will be set in space, which means they will cover every nook and cranny. This new movie won’t answer every question , maybe one or two then move onto the next movie. What we report tells us ‘God Particle‘ is about a team of astronauts who make a “shocking discovery” and end up fighting for survival in what is described as an altered reality.

The Wrap and several other media outlets have approached Paramount Pictures for a comment and refused to comment at this stage. So with many movies, alternate realities expected to come will JJ Abrams  able to pull off the secrecy in future movies? Or will they simply  just announce  each year ?

God Particle‘ is meant to have David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Brühl and Chris O’Dowd, all part of the cast. We wouldn’t be surprised if the movie title name changes by the time February arrives, next month the first trailer arrives!
