Against the odds, she discovers the power of family, love, faith and self-belief as she opens the door to her future.
The film also stars Finn Cole (Sirius, Last Breath, Peaky Blinders) supporting as her husband, Richard Moore, and Gershwyn Eustache Jnr (The Man in My Basement, The Gentlemen, Andor) as Clinton, Ramla’s coach. Other key Somali cast playing Ali’s family include Hodan Yusuf, newcomer Suhayla Ahmed, Roda Asha Aden, Mustafa Aden, Moe Hashim, and Samater Ahmed.

Not solely a boxing movie, IN THE SHADOWS is a story of determination, passion, self-discovery and self-belief. In The Shadows will be in UK and Irish cinemas from 30th October. The film is also set to make it’s World Premiere at BFI London Film Festival on 9th October.
