Jamie Foxx Vampire Slayer In Netflix’s Day Shift Trailer

Jamie Foxx has been many people, many things over his career, now he’s a vampire slayer in Day Shift. Netflix have unveiled the action comedy’s official Trailer and that some jobs really go for the throat!
With zombies (pardon the expression) dying out, it looks cool to be a vampire again. To be honest no classic horror monster (including zombies) are dead commodities, it’s all on the delivery. This looks like coming from the 1980’s even 1990s playbook. Those decades gave us some likable vampire genre films, this looks fun.
This one comes from J.J Perry who is making his directorial feature debut. Perry made his name as a stunt co-ordinator with John Wick particularly. The trailer itself as “from the guys who taught John Wick how to kick ass,”. Chad Stahelski John Wick‘s director is also onboard as a producer.
Jamie Foxx is your typical working class blue collar worker. Works as a Pool cleaner, well that’s his official job, he’s a vampire hunter! All to provide a good life for his daughter, however he can’t do it alone. Setting his sights to the international Vampire Hunter Union for help.
Humour and action, looks fun, even has a vampiric Zombieland tone as well. lock ‘n’ load.
Jamie Foxx stars as a hard working blue collar dad who just wants to provide a good life for his quick-witted daughter, but his mundane San Fernando Valley pool cleaning job is a front for his real source of income, hunting and killing vampires as part of an international Union of vampire hunters.
The rest of the film’s cast will also include Dave Franco, Karla Souza, Meagan Good. Along with Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Oliver Masucci, Snoop Dogg, Steve Howey, Scott Adkins, and Zion Broadnax.
Day Shift will be released on Netflix from 12th August.
