Interview: We Chat All Things F1: The Movie With Producer Jerry Bruckheimer
To celebrate the release of F1: The Movie on Apple TV last week, we sat down for an exclusive interview with legendary producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Top Gun, Pearl Harbour, Bad Boys, Pirates of the Caribbean).
Jerry tells us about how the experiences of real F1 drivers, like fellow producer and seven time world champion Lewis Hamilton, informed the films story, as well as working with long-time collaborator Hans Zimmer on the synth-filled score, whether the films direct collaboration with F1 resulted in any storytelling limits, and how important it was that F1: The Movie had an IMAX release.
F1: The Movie, starring Damson Idris, Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon and Javier Bardem, released on June 25th this year. Following its hugely successful theatrical release, the film became one of the most successful racing movies of all time and it’s now available to watch at home on Apple TV.
