Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny holds strong at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart.

Denying Fast X (2) a return to the top spot, Indy’s (Harrison Ford) final adventure in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny marks a second impressive week at Number 1 on digital downloads only. Will it be the film’s ‘destiny’ to spend a long time at the top of the charts?

Swimming in as our highest new entry of the week is disaster sequel The Meg 2: The Trench, debuting at Number 3, also landing in the chart thanks to strong digital download sales.

Jason Statham returns as deep sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor, joined by action legend Wu Jing and Shuya Sophia Cai, who leads a deep sea diving expedition which is thrown into chaos when a malevolent mining operation disturbs the seabed, unearthing terrifying prehistoric creatures. The film has divided many if it’s any good or just simply bad, what do you think?

Meanwhile, Disney’s Elemental drops two places to Number 4, and Transformers: The Rise of the Beasts moves down one to Number 5. Jennifer Lawrence’s summer comedy No Hard Feelings falls to Number 6, landing just ahead of animated adventures Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at Number 7, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie at 8.

Rounding out this week’s Top 10, WWII film Sisu lifts four places to a new peak of Number 9 following its release on disc, and The Equaliser 2 rebounds back into the Top 10 for the first time since January 2019 following news of its follow-up, The Equaliser 3.
