In The Tax Collector Trailer Payback Comes With Interest
After trying out the fantasy genre with Netflix’s Bright, David Ayer returns to the crime thriller genre with The Tax Collector. Today RLJE Films have released the film’s American Trailer which sees the director work once again with Fury cast member Shia LaBeouf and he’s looking for a little interest in the ‘payback’!
The indie thriller sees Creeper (LaBeouf) and David (Bobby Soto,Narcos) as his partner are the ‘tax collectors’. The pair collect for Wizard, collecting dues from local gangs that do illicit deals behind Wizard’s back. Creeper loves the criminal life however so does David but now he must protect what more to close him, his family.
The goes straight to the point, these two collectors are dangerous guys you won’t mess around with. Ayer is certainly back in his comfort zone and what we’re getting is gritty and violent…
David (Bobby Soto) and Creeper (Shia LaBeouf), are “tax collectors” for the crime lord Wizard, collecting his cut from the profits of local gangs’ illicit dealings. But when Wizard’s old rival returns to Los Angeles from Mexico, the business is upended, and David finds himself desperate to protect what matters more to him than anything else: his family.
The film stars Bobby Soto, Cinthya Carmona, George Lopez, Steve Louis Villegas, Lana Parrilla, and Shia LaBeouf.
Pay up in the U.S for The Tax Collector will 24th August with a cinema, VOD and Digital Download release. No word yet on who will release this one in the UK and Ireland.
