The Russian sci-fi Horror is the director’s directorial feature debut. A film based on the filmmaker’s 2017 short film which in English is called The Passenger. the film tells the story of a lone survivor of an enigmatic spaceship incident hasn’t returned back home alone; hiding inside his body is a dangerous creature.
The film is a smartly-scripted examination of a society unready, or unwilling, for change. This striking, unexpectedly moving debut has built such a buzz it comes as no surprise that it became Russia’s top streaming release in many years. It’s a shame this film isn’t getting a cinematic release as visually looks stunning.
