“The best part about being dead…is the freedom.” Ryan Reynolds becomes a ‘Dead Billionaire’ in Michael Bay‘s 6 Underground and a metric f?ck-load of dynamite.
Today Netflix release the official Trailer for their high octane thriller from the Baymeister. Everything is big, the action, the explosions, the budget ($125 million). It reeks old school Bay and are we excited to see this one? Hell Yeah! Maximum Bayhem!
Reynolds leads a vigilante group of billionaires who fake their deaths. The group wasn’t just chosen for their particular set of skills but also to delete their pasts and change the future. Take down some notorious criminals on the way too.
This trailer may not reveal the film’s plot, it does showcase Bay’s visual style. Critically his films might not have quality, no one can deny it’s impressive technical levels. This might be one non-Oscar contender that may benefit from a Cinematic release, be it limited…
What’s the best part of being dead?
It isn’t escaping your boss, your ex, or even erasing your criminal record.
The best part about being dead…is the freedom.
The freedom to fight the injustice and evil that lurk in our world without anyone or anything to slow you down or tell you “no.”
6 Underground introduces a new kind of action hero. Six individuals from all around the globe, each the very best at what they do, have been chosen not only for their skill, but for a unique desire to delete their pasts to change the future. The team is brought together by an enigmatic leader (Ryan Reynolds), whose sole mission in life is to ensure that, while he and his fellow operatives will never be remembered, their actions damn sure will.
This film also stars Mélanie Laurent, Corey Hawkins, Adria Arjona, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Ben Hardy Lior Raz, Payman Maadi and Dave Franco.
6 Underground launches on Netflix 13th December.
