Halloween Kills (2021)

Michael Myers (aka The Shape) in Halloween Kills, directed by David Gordon Green

The boogeyman is real, when your grandmother tells you that believe her especially if her name is Laurie Strode. Michael Myers is back (again!) as Universal Pictures release the first UK Trailer for Halloween Kills and ‘Evil dies tonight!’

Not even a burning house trap can stop Myers, can the residents of Haddonfield stop The Shape?

Jamie Lee Curtis once again returns  as Laurie and from the onset of the trailer the new film follows exactly after the previous David Gordon Green 2018 reboot. We see the Strode women escape returning to Haddonfield  and hysteria breaks in the town when he returns too. The Strode’s  team with a group of other survivors to make sure ‘evil dies tonight’.

Will this be the last one? Will Laurie finally get her closure which is 43 years overdue? If it is the trailer teases it will go out with nostalgia including a mask from Season Of The Witch…Does it mean we will see Michael’s face?

In 2018, David Gordon Green’s Halloween, starring icon Jamie Lee Curtis, killed at the box office, earning more than $250 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing chapter in the four-decade franchise and setting a new record for the biggest opening weekend in history for a horror film starring a woman.

And the Halloween night when Michael Myers returned isn’t over yet.

Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor.

But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster.

The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.

Evil dies tonight.

The film co-stars Anthony Michael Hall, Judy Greer, Kyle Richards, Robert Longstreet, Andi Matichak, and Nick Castle.

Halloween Kills will be released in UK, Irish and U.S Cinemas from 15th October.
