In Ghostbusters: Afterlife First Trailer Everything Happens For A Reason!

It’s been a long time coming, Ghostbusters 3 took a step towards becoming reality. Finally today Sony Pictures Releasing have released the First Trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Teasing that everything happens for a reason!

After Paul Feig’s all female Ghostbusters in 2016, and umpteen attempts, things didn’t look great for the franchise. 30 years on we finally have a film coming from Jason Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman the director of the original films.

A new decade and a new generation will take over with Finn Wolfhard afraid no ghosts. Carrie Coon playing his mother and McKenna Grace his sister. who movie to Oklahoma and they inherit a mysterious property. A connection that connects to the original Ghostbusters legacy.

Wolfhard will be no stranger to things going strange in the neighbourhood, he is after all from Stranger Things. Could the kids be connected to one of original team? Paul Rudd stars as the kids school teacher and of course a superfan of the team!Thankfully they haven’revealed too much.

Original Ghostbusters cast members Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts and Sigourney Weaver are all due to make cameos. Sadly Harold Ramis who played Egon Spangler died in 2014. You won’t see any of them in this promo, but you will hear Bill Murray. He gives the trailer a voice over, which works perfectly…

From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The film is written by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan.

Who you gonna call? You can call the Ghostbusters: Afterlife when it arrives in UK and Irish cinemas from Summer 2020. Potentially July.
