Hope Against All Odds In Breakthrough UK Trailer

No matter what anyone says, no one can be prepared for a loved one finding themselves on death’s bed. In Roxann Dawson‘s ( B’Elanna Torres from Star Trek Voyager) Breakthrough, One Mother finds her son in this predicament. What do you do when all avenues tried and failed, what do you do? Love and faith in God.

Chrissy Metz (This Is Us) stars that mum, after a fall into the depths of a frozen lake she finds her son knocking on heaven’s door.

Religion on the big screen hasn’t always had the biggest success. We live in a diverse world, so many religions on offer, though whatever you believe in, faith is a common factor all religions share.

20th Century Fox has sent us the film’s UK Trailer. The film has a solid cast which is known, but as I said before a film with religion and faith may not be the biggest attraction. The film might prove us all wrong and deliver a miracle!

BREAKTHROUGH is based on the inspirational true story of one mother’s unfaltering love in the face of impossible odds. When Joyce Smith’s adopted son John falls through an icy Missouri lake, all hope seems lost. But as John lies lifeless, Joyce refuses to give up. Her steadfast belief inspires those around her to continue to pray for John’s recovery, even in the face of every case history and scientific prediction. From producer DeVon Franklin (MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN) and adapted for the screen by Grant Nieporte (SEVEN POUNDS) from Joyce Smith’s own book, BREAKTHROUGH is an enthralling reminder that faith and love can create a mountain of hope, and sometimes even a miracle.

The film also stars Josh Lucas, Topher Grace, Mike Colter, Marcel Ruiz, Sam Trammell, Dennis Haysbert.

Breakthrough will arrive in UK and Irish cinemas sometime in 2019. 20th Century Fox hasn’t confirmed an exact release date (U.S release is ‘Easter 2019’).
