The DC Movie universe hasn’t had the best of times especially when compared to it’s Marvel rivals, 2017 could potentially be their comeback. But will it be a bird or a plane? A Wonder Woman or Justice League? Maybe but the best hope could come in the shape of a Lego brick and in The Lego Batman Movie!
Today Warner Bros. have sent us a brand new poster to promote the movie and as you can see below it’s bursting with characters. As the saying goes ‘Keep Friends Close, enemies closer’ our titular hero Lego Batman does that with who’s who in D.C Universe. Everyone from Robin, Batgirl, Superman, The Joker, Bane, Harley Quinn, Superman, Alfred to Poison Ivy are here…
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO® Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble—LEGO Batman—stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
This may be a bold statement to make with the likes of Wonder Woman, Justice League movies to come next year, possibly. We’ve already had trailers for Wonder Woman which were fantastic however we had this for the previous DC movies which left the majority of us disappointed. We’re not saying other D.C movies won’t deliver but based on the brilliant Lego Movie from 2014 which surprised us all how funny and wide appeal it had.We do hope everything is awesome for The Lego Batman Movie and next years DC Movies as we want to see good competition for MCU.
The Lego Batman Movie is set for 10th February 2017 UK release date with Will Arnett (Batman), Michael Cera (Robin), Ralph Fiennes (Alfred), Rosario Dawson (Commissioner Barbara Gordon) , Jenny Slate (Harley Quinn) and Mariah Carey (Mayor of Gotham).
