A question many people ask, apart from the action does Jason Statham  possess ? This May that question maybe answered with Hummingbird and tonight we have the UK Trailer.

The film marks the directorial début for Steven Knight who wrote the scripts for Eastern Promises, Dirty Little Things which sees The Stath play Joey an homeless ex-soldier who finds himself on the run who has to take another man’s identity, finding himself dragged into the criminal underworld in London’s Chinatown.

It’s easy to let rip into Statham’s films as he virtually plays the same type of character in every film he stars in however Hummingbird does feel a lot different from those films. It looks a little more grounded , more dramatic  though there is plenty of action to keep The Stath’s fans happy but don’t expect nonsensical style we’re used to seeing him in. Knight seems to have a nice distinctive directorial style and the early word is positive for this film which is good for Knight as well as the Stath.

Hummingbird is set for 17th May 2013  UK release and also stars  Benedict WongVicky McClure and Agata Buzek
