Happy New Year! Assassin’s Creed UK Release Date Now 2017

We’re all guilty of making lists especially ones for most anticipated films for each year.Despite the recent failings for movie game adaptations, Assassin’s Creed probably still on many lists. If your in UK&Ireland and hoping for a ‘extra’ Christmas present you maybe a little disappointed  to find out the film won’t be released this year but 2017!

Despite the film set for a worldwide release in December (UK been 26th December), it will now be 1st January 2017 for British and Irish cinephiles (probably gamers too).

It will be a tad frustrating for everyone who was looking forward to the film as a means of escapism from the yearly Christmas repeats we’re subjected too on television. American cinephiles will still see the movie on 21st December 12 days before we do. You could look at it 2 ways, early reviews may make your determination to see Assassin’s Creed even more or simply put you off it if reviews are bad. We can’t really complain as there’s several films we have seen weeks before USA like Captain America:Civil War. You could say it’s balancing things out for every one.

This will mark another year no major film releases been released on boxing day (26th December) in UK however New Year’s Day is fast growing to be one of our busiest days of the year. So it maybe a logical move even if reviews may not support the film, but as ever your views are more important.

Assassin’s Creed will arrive in UK&Irish cinemas from 1st January 2017. Co-starring Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson,Michael K. Williams and Ariane Labad.
