The Granddads Get Physical In Daddy’s Home 2 New UK Trailer
On paper, Daddy’s Home idea looked a potential winner before it was released in 2015, the critics thought otherwise. Next month like it or not Daddy’s Home 2 is coming and today we have another new International (UK) Trailer.
After last month’s second UK trailer we realised too many dads spoiled Christmas like the way too many cooks spoil the broth. This new trailer shows the granddad’s (Mel Gibson and John Lithgow) are ready to up the ante and get physical in defending the family name….as well as Christmas!
In the sequel to the 2015 global smash, father and stepfather, Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Ferrell), have joined forces to provide their kids with the perfect Christmas. Their newfound partnership is put to the test when Dusty’s old-school, macho Dad (Mel Gibson) and Brad’s ultra-affectionate and emotional Dad (John Lithgow) arrive just in time to throw the holiday into complete chaos.
If Dusty and Brad (Will Ferrell & Mark Wahlberg) can hold it together for Christmas why can’t their dads? In a perfect world, that’s what would happen but this is a ‘comedy’ and Lithgow, Gibson is showing us where the boys got their fighting spirit from! So really if whats on show in this trailer doesn’t rock your boat or your expecting so much more, you be may be very disappointed.
If you adore the daddies of the movie you will probably love this one. This is predictable, the slapstick humour sort of ruins the verbal humour which we know Ferrell is very good at firing out. In a way, this is meant to be a family-ish type of movie which may just be ruined trying to keep both political sides of the American politics fence happy. Rather than just be an old-fashioned comedy.
Daddy’s Home 2 now has a confirmed UK & Irish release date and as predicted it’s 22nd November.
