GOOGLE.COM – The Movie! The Story of How Google Heading To A Cinema Near You (Type in The Search Box to find out Where)
It would only be a matter of time before some sad individual decided to make a movie on another website, well internet search engine and in GOOGLE DOT COM!!!
All thanks to the buzz from David Fincher’s Facebook movie Social Network has got producers Michael London and John Morris of Groundswell productions to aquire the rights of the the Ken Auletta book Googled: The End of the World As We Know It that “tells the story of Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page and the fast rise of the juggernaut web business that made them billionaires.”
This movie is unlikely to have the Havard University Know It alls who created/stole theFacebook from Finchers movie but two PH.D educated guys who wanted to create a better search engine as well running a company with selling their ‘souls’ to the devil and you dont have be in a suit to earn the cash, whatever you think of them now they did suceed but does it merit a movie? Personally this sounds like a tv movie!
Deadline where the first to break this story and they had a chat with Michael London and here’s a snippet of what he said:
“about these two young guys who created a company that changed the world, and how the world in turn changed them. The heart of the movie is their wonderful edict, ‘Don’t be evil.’ At a certain point in the evolution of a company so big and powerful, there are a million challenges to that mandate. Can you stay true to principles like that as you become as rich and powerful as that company has become? The intention is to be sympathetic to Sergey and Larry, and hopefully the film will be as interesting as the company they created.”
No actors, directors or even a rough idea of when this project may kick -off and if The Social Network is an success dont be surpised if this movie takes the route of unknown actors, story to be continued.
