Amazing to think that galaxy far far away was nearly a distant memory about 15 years ago after 3 very forgettable Star Wars movies. A takeover, new launch, spin-offs, Star Wars is truly back and December Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be in our local cinemas.
With more spin-off in the works including Solo all eyes are on The Last Jedi and Lucasfilms has sent a brand new featurette. Which delves into the mind of the director Rian Johnson mashing together interviews, sneak peek into the production. Be warned there is some unseen footage involving important characters (new and old) that might spoil the fun for some.
There are very few franchises especially movie ones that can say they’re still going after 40 years like Star Wars. When the franchise returned to The Force Awakens there was a worry it couldn’t match or rise above the originals. It did fantastically well and Rogue One proved there was a galaxy that stories must be told on the big screen. To direct your own Star Wars movie will be the biggest honour some directors will get. Johnson certainly is and in this promo you get a glimpse of his thoughts and how he put his own mark on the franchise.
