Glen Powell Embraces His ‘Alter Egos’ in Hit Man First Trailer!

What do you get when you cross Noir, thriller with screwball comedy? It’s Richard Linklater’s Hit Man starring Glen Powell and Netflix tease with first Trailer.

Our leading man is no stranger to the screen big and small, Thanks to Top Gun: Maverick he’s even more known as well as reuniting with Everybody Wants Some!! director Linklater. joining our leading man is Adria Arjona whose character is head over heels with ‘Sexy Ron’.

Inspired by an unbelievable true story. When hit man Gary Johnson (Powell) meets his match in a client Madison (Arjona) who steals his heart and ignites a powder keg of deception, delight, and mixed-up identities.

Freda Cooper watched the film at last year’s BFI London Film Festival. She described the film with  “Crisp comic timing – especially from Powell – coupled with his delicious on-screen partnership with Adria Arjona“.

There’s very little footage on show, enough to know, this looks a must watch.

Oscar-nominated director Richard Linklater’s sunlit neo-noir stars Glen Powell as strait-laced professor Gary Johnson, who moonlights as a fake hit man for the New Orleans Police Department. Preternaturally gifted at inhabiting different guises and personalities to catch hapless people hoping to bump off their enemies, Gary descends into morally dubious territory when he finds himself attracted to one of those potential criminals, a beautiful woman named Madison (Adria Arjona). As she falls for one of Gary’s hit man personas — the mysteriously sexy Ron — their steamy affair sets off a chain reaction of play acting, deception, and higher stakes.

The film also stars Austin Amelio, Retta, Sanjay Rao, and Evan Holtzman. It’s expected Hit Man will be streaming on Netflix in the UK, Ireland and USA from 7th June. No word yet if the film will get a limited cinema release before heading to Netflix.
