Watch official Trailer ahead of the world premiere next week at Berlin Film Festival
Grab a bottle of wine, pour yourself a glass and enjoy the Trailer for drama Isabel. As Marina Person gives life the middle finger and uncorks her midlife crisis.
After the success of I’m Still Here, Brazilian cinema is firmly back on the cinematic map. Gabe Klinger’s film may not be the same type of film, but it still looks like a powerful film. A reminder that the older we get, we can still escape the daily grind and live the dream.
The film is heading to the Berlin Film Festival to make its world premiere. Isabel stars Person in the titular role (actor is also the film’s cowriter), a woman whose had enough of her controlling bosses. She decides to open a wine bar in Sรฃo Paulo, but her plans start to fall apart. She must decide to continue with opening a bar or play it safe?
Synopsis:
Isabel, a sommeliรจre in Sรฃo Pauloโs fine-dining scene, dreams of escaping her controlling boss and opening her own wine bar, where she decides what goes in the glass. When her plans fail to ferment as expected, Isabel must decide between playing it safe and taking her one bold chance to uncork her destiny on her own terms.
This one also stars Caio Horowicz and John Ortiz.
Isabel will make its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival on 16th February. There is no word on who and when this film will be released in the UK and Ireland. Don’t be surprised, this will tour a few more film festivals before it’s on general release.
