The doll is coming back, what’s the worst thing that could happen? Chucky maybe going straight to DVD but he has an appointment at next month’s Film4 FrightFest and this afternoon we have the official trailer for The Curse Of Chucky.

For years the red headed doll Chucky terrified kids (& parents) in The Child’s Play franchise, with Brad Dourif back onboard voicing the demonic Chucky, the wait might be 9 years but the dolls old ย devilish shenanigans is still there!

Directed by the original Child’s Play director Don Mancini which sees an unexpected child mother (Brad Douriff’s own daughter Fiona Dourif) receives a mysterious parcel. She gives the doll to her daughter and at this point people around them end up dead.

No word on exactly when The Curse Of Chucky will be released on DVD & Blu-Ray in UK however the American release is 24th September. If your heading to to Film4 Frightfest in London next month, the film will play on the opening night on 22nd August.

Synopsis

Inย Curse of Chucky, Nica (Fiona Dourif) is grieving over the gruesome suicide of her mother when her domineering older sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti) arrives with her young family in tow to help settle their motherโ€™s affairs. As the sisters butt heads over Nicaโ€™s plans for the future, Barbโ€™s young daughter comforts herself with a grinning, red-haired talking doll named Chucky (Brad Dourif) that recently arrived mysteriously in the mail. But as a string of brutal murders begins to terrorize the household, Nica suspects the doll may hold the key to the bloodshed. What she doesnโ€™t know is that Chucky has a personal score to settle. Heโ€™s determined to finish a job he started more than 20 years earlier, and this time heโ€™s going to see it through to the bloody and shocking end.
