“Frasier” Revival Cancelled After Two Seasons

After two seasons, Paramount + has cancelled Frasier, the revival series of a long-running sitcom of the same name. The latest season of the show came out just two months ago on Paramount+, and yet the studio has decided against going ahead with a third season.

Frasier returned on Paramount+ in October 2023 and was soon followed by a second season in 2024, both of which gained favourable reviews from critics and nominations to the Primetime Emmys. The series is a revival of the original series which aired from 1993 to 2004 for a total of 11 seasons and 37 Emmy awards.

In the recent reboot, Kelsey Grammer reprised his role as the titular Frasier Crane, a psychiatrist who has just returned to Boston and is now a professor at Harvard University. After the death of his father and the end of his relationship, Frasier is trying to have a better relationship with his son Frederick (Jack Cutmore-Scott) who has just started college at the beginning of the new revival.

White the show has not renewed by Paramount+, this might not necessarily be the end for the show. The production company behind the series, CBS Studios, is trying to find a new home for the show and is currently planning to shop the third series to other platforms, including potentially Prime Video and Hulu, as reported by Deadline.

Will there be a continuation for Frasier on a different platform? Only time can tell, but the two existing seasons of Frasier remain available to watch on Paramount+, as well as the original series that inspired it.
