Forbidden Love For Harry Styles In My Policeman New Trailer

In a couple of weeks time Harry Styles, Don’t Worry Darling will be released. The feedback from that film hasn’t been great, his next film My Policeman might just appease any cinephiles.

Tonight Amazon have sent us the full trailer that teases forbidden love in 1950’s England. Tom (Styles) is a policeman who is madly in love with teacher Marion (Emma Corrin). So we thought, when museum curator Patrick (David Dawson) enters their lives they find themselves in a love triangle.

The trailer plays on the forbidden love and the complications of that love.  We also get indications that Marion isn’t truly happy with Tom and Patrick.  We do get to see them older and regret and emotion is still rife.

A beautifully crafted story of forbidden love and changing social conventions, My Policeman follows three young people – policeman Tom (Harry Styles), teacher Marion (Emma Corrin), and museum curator Patrick (David Dawson)– as they embark on an emotional journey in 1950s Britain. Flashing forward to the 1990s, Tom (Linus Roache), Marion (Gina McKee), and Patrick (Rupert Everett) are still reeling with longing and regret, but now they have one last chance to repair the damage of the past. Based on the book by Bethan Roberts, director Michael Grandage carves a visually transporting, heart-stopping portrait of three people caught up in the shifting tides of history, liberty, and forgiveness.

The film also stars  Linus Roache, Gina McKee, along with Rupert Everett.

My Policeman will be making it’s World Premiere this weekend at Toronto Film Festival. Next month it’s UK Premiere will take place on 15th October at BFI London Film Festival. You won’t have to wait long after that when the film gets a UK and Irish cinema release on 21st October. Then on 4th November it will debut on Prime Video.
