First trailer for Benedict Cumberbatch movie The Thing with Feathers
Benedict Cumberbatch journeys through the seven stages of grief in the first trailer for The Thing with Feathers, which has been released by Vue Lumiรจre.
Oscar nominee Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game; The Power of the Dog) stars in this adaptation of Max Porter’s novel,ย Grief is the Thing with Feathers. Cumberbatch plays a father who is struggling to raise his two children in the wake of his wife’s sudden death.

Written and directed by Dylan Southern, the movie premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, and will be released later this year.
