First Official Stills For Danny Boyle’s Trance

After the 2012 Summer Olympics Danny Boyle must be one of the UK’s most popular film directors but now it’s back to the graft behind the lens for his next film project Trance and we have the first stills from the film.
Trance is an psychological thriller about a fine art auctioneer, mixed up with a criminal gang, who join forces with a hypnotherapist to recover a lost painting. Trance stars James McAvoy (Atonement, X-Men First Class), Vincent Cassel (Black Swan, Mesrine) and Rosario Dawson (Seven Pounds, Sin City).
Boyle said: “After a mad summer with London 2012, it’s great to get back to the day job; treachery and intrigue on the screen rather than behind-the-scenes! I wanted to do something different, mix things up a bit, and I think TRANCE does that – it’s a twisting psychological thriller and I hope an entertaining ride that people will enjoy watching and arguing about afterwards!”
The film re-unites Boyle with many of his frequent collaborators including screenwriter John Hodge (Trainspotting, Shallow Grave) and Underworld’s Rick Smith who has composed the original score.
For several months now the film has been without a distributor but thankfully now that has been sorted with Pathe Distribution been announced with the UK Release been set for a 27th March release. With only 3 months to go until the release expect Trance first trailer to be with us in the next few weeks.
