The last couple of years patience has been the name of the game for cinephiles waiting for a certain movie like The Maze Runner Death Cure. After so many delays including an injury to Dylan O’Brien, we’re a big step closer to release and we have the movies first UK trailer.
They always say sometimes you have to go full circle and go back to where it all started to achieve a goal. Our remaining Gladers must go back to the original city and tackle the deadliest maze of them all!
If things went to plan we probably should be by now getting ready for the movies home release, no one expects to be injured so now the original February 2017 went out the window. There was also the small matter of the fully recover O’Brien been a badass in American Assassin too.
The first movie was setting up things which surprised the critics, the second movie got a mixed response. We loved it as it revealed the world was a lot bigger. If the second was ‘the road movie’ what about the new one? According to director Wes Ball, the final instalment will be a ‘heist movie’, “It picks up six months after the last movie, where we started in the desert, and then we come into the world of WCKD, which is a city: The Lost City.”
The Maze Runner Death Cure looks like it will give the likes of The Hunger Games a run for its money. Upping the ante in action with Science Fiction blended with Noir, an interesting concept for a Young Adult movie. The trailer itself is short just under 60 second mark starting as a reminder of what already happened. When it’s the finale you always want to go out in style and Ball is making sure Maze Runner fans will like what they see.
In the epic finale to the Maze Runner saga, Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.
The Maze Runner Death Cure is set for a January 2018 UK release date with Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Rosa Salazar, Giancarlo Esposito and Patricia Clarkson starring.
